26.11.2006: I have finally had some time to do new missions and I've now uploaded four of them.

08.11.2006: Added few links.

29.10.2006: I started a new project: Maps of Winter and Continuation Wars. So far I've finished maps of operations on Karelian Isthmus during the Winter War. You'll find the maps from the Info -section.

26.10.2006: Re-arranged the links again. I divided them to categories and added some new links.

21.10.2006: The Blue Sky, Red Earth -campaign is finally out!

15.10.2006: A little campaign update: I've just started final tests and if everything goes without problems, the campaign will be published soon. Due the lack of time I had to make some compromises with detailing to get this out before the end of this decade...

12.10.2006: Replaced the FAF airbases -map with better ones. Two versions (full colour & low-colour) available in the Info-section.

05.10.2006: Re-arranged the links-page and added a picture gallery link.

17.09.2006: Updated the page about Finnish armored vehicles.

13.09.2006:Added a page about Finnish armored vehicles into the Info-section.

10.09.2006: New design for the site along with the new address: www.porsimo.net
If you have links to this site, the old addresses should mostly work except links to historical info.
I also added few new wallpapers I had laying on my HD and opened a new guestbook (the old one has been dead for some time now as you may have noticed). Feel free to drop a line or two.  The links are on the top of the main page.
Links
are checked through, broken ones removed and a bunch of new ones added.

20.08.2006: Added a page of military awards of the Order of the Cross of Liberty in Info -section.

10.05.2006: Updated IL-2 Season converter to version 1.1. Highly recommended, as in 1.0 map conversion doesn't work properly.

06.05.2006: Added an utility for download in the Miscellaneous -section. This utility is IL-s Season converter and with it converting missions from summer to winter and vice versa is quick and easy.

18.04.2006: The missions are now done (130) and I'm next going to go them through and do some detailing work plus complete the briefings ("personal notes" telling about historical facts).
Release will be in few weeks, unless we get the Fokker D.XXI before that. In that case it'll be a little later :)

26.02.2006: Added a couple of noseartpacks for download. You'll find them from the Skins -page.

08.02.2006: Added slightly reworked pilot skin pack of 37 FAF aces, few old plane-skins and a noseartpack of 4 nosearts for download. You'll find them from the Skins -page.

03.02.2006: Added a map of airbases used by FAF in the Info -section, added nicknames for Karhila, Pallasvuo and Magnusson in the aces -lists.
Fixed the link to planetypes in the Flying Knights -page.
And finally updated the Brighter downloads with Spanish language files.

02.12.2005: Added the training programs used during the Continuation War for Brewster B-239 (designed by major G. E. Magnusson) in the Info -section.

27.10.2005: Few minor updates:
- Added the date of death for Puhakka and Karu in the aces -list
- Corrected Pokela's kill count in the aces -list
- Added a little sidenote to the detachments / abbreviations
- Added a missing sidenote to the Unit emblems
- "Official" Campaign update

23.10.2005: Ok. I've been asked about the Blue Sky, Red Earth -campaign lately a lot, so I thought a little "unofficial" update would be in place.
The campaign is not dead, but it's still far from ready. My good intentions to work hard with it during the last summer  were drained as the summer and the fall both turned out pretty busy. The work is also very slow and tiring as I check the details from several books while making the missions. Anyway, the situation is following: The date is still in fall 1941, but I have already over 40 missions made so I haven't  just goofed off ;)
If we get the flyable Fokker D.XXI in the upcoming addon and the addon is released before I finish the campaign, I will rework all the Winter War missions before releasing the campaign (because Fokker is the correct a/c instead of Gladiator). Otherwise I put it out when finished and release later another version with the Fokker (if flyable).
Now, back to work :) ...

18.10.05: A little change to the site layout. I also separated historical info and miscellaneous stuff from each other. From now on things like Brighter, FAF font, object lists etc. will be found behind the Miscellaneous -link.

19.08.05: Updated Brighter to version 2.2. This version is multilingual supporting English, German, Finnish and Spanish, but you can easily add more languages into it by yourself. Also some bug fixes.
Get newest version from here.

05.08.05: Added in Miscellaneous -section for download an utility for Bright palette conversion tool which gives a graphic interface to it. * UPDATED * Version 2.1

02.08.05: After a long period of silence... Added in Miscellaneous -section for download a font which was used in registration markings of Finnish military planes. Hope it helps skinners who make Finnish skins :)

28.04.05: Added a guestbook, so feel free to comment. :)
Also checked the functionality of the links (Apr 26th)

17.04.05: Added six new wallpapers...

16.04.05: Comleted the list of Finnish fighter aces. Basic data of all 94 Finnish aces can be found in the Info -section.

31.03.05: New look for the site and a couple of new skins: A Finnish liaison -plane skin (Swedish style) for U-2VS representing FW-44j Stieglitz and a civilian airliner skin for FW-200 representing Ju-90 civilian airliner "Oldenburg" .
I also removed the Screenshots -page, because I think it just took web space without any reasonable use. You can find my newer and perhaps better shots at ScreenshotArt.com

25.03.05: A "reopen" of the skins -section. Uploaded a skinpack of 9 civilian airliners from the 30's and 40's for Ju-52. Following airlines included: Lufthansa (2), Aero Oy (5), Malert (1) and DNL(?) (1).

19.03.05: As you may have noticed, the campaign was put in the ice for a long time. But no more!
I finally found my long lost notes for it and I'm back to work again. I'm still in the middle of the Winter War, so it's far from finished, but there is already 15 wartime mission ready.
The campaign has now also a official name: Blue Sky, Red Earth - Fight against the Giant.

28.02.05: Added a quick overview to FAF in WW2 in the Info -section. This overview includes lists of dislocations of flight regiments. These lists are not accurate which means they are showing the situation on certain date. Usually their structure changed a lot between these dates.
The overview includes also all known unit emblems used during the Continuation War. If wished, I may post a .psd- versions of them.
In the aces-list, I added "Hasse" Wind's data at last. I couldn't find his last promotion date for now, though...
I also emptied the Skins -page since all downloads were from IL2Skins.com
I haven't yet decided the future of that section...

20.01.05: New semi-historical mission for the Pacific Fighters based around the battle of Kuuterselkä.

17.01.05: Again new mission for the Pacific Fighters.

16.01.05: New mission for the Pacific Fighters. I also moved  the previous mission under its correct country (GB) as it was under Japan by mistake. Sorry for the confusion.

11.01.05: Added list of flyable planes in the Info -section. AI planelist wil be added soon. The list is from version 3.03m, and it will be updated *when* new planes arrive ;) Note! These lists include planes in the merged install of Pacific Fighters (FB + AEP + PF)

22.12.04: Added first mission for Pacific Fighters. It's been made rather quickly so don't expect anything fancy :) In the future all missions I publish for PF are for merged install, i.e. PF + FB & AEP.

05.12.04: Added Object lists for Forgotten Battles (AEP) + Pacific Fighters (3.01m) in the Info -section. Two versions available: A zipped MS Word -file and a printable HTML -version.

16.10.04: Replaced the e-mail -link with a new feedback page. I would like to have some feedback about the site and also I'd be pleased, if you would send some suggestions too how to improve the site. You may ask questions too and I will answer if I only can...

14.10.04: Added seven new wallpapers.  Updated the "Flying Knights" -list under the Info -section with small photos and added missing data.

29.09.04: Added two missions based on actual events on the Karelian Isthmus. However, there are some inaccuracies in details and they don't base on any particular mission. Both missions are actually the same. The other one is from the German point of view and the other one from Soviet side.

24.09.04: Nothing much this time. Some fixes to main page's appearance.
I also uploaded printer friendly versions of the lists under the Info -section, except the aces -list. I will upload it when the list is finished.

22.09.04: Added two new missions and a new section called Info. Under this section I've gathered (and will gather in the future) miscellaneous info about (mainly) FAF's history. I also removed the news-page, because it was pretty obsolete...

10.09.04: Added new mission and some screenshots

06.09.04: New screenshots again

02.09.04: Added new screenshots

01.09.04: Added few new links
